Having An Answer for Every Man

By Apostle Anthony Berry

I have found a treasure trove of some of the most crucial chapters in the bible that will assist us in finding freedom in Christ Jesus. Passages of scripture that when read in context, can make us truly free from the wiles of Satan.  It is by the whispering in the ears of the elect that the confusion is spread; through sub standard food being fed to the lambs and sheep. Food that will make the sheep fat, and ready, and seasoned to the taste of the wolves that Satan has whispered too.  This begins at one of the first places by men, calling themselves scholars; not bible scholars but historians and men taught with the reasoning of men

Suffering for Righteousness  how to make God fit the image that those men want God to fit (Romans chapter 1). How many times have you had a question about the blessed hope and were detered by the person that you have asked by them saying “why would you ask that kind of question?” “Where is your faith?”, “Are you really saved?” These answers are give in this way because:

a. They don’t have the answer

b. They have a hidden agenda

c. They feel it will open a can of worms.

Note: I Peter chapter 3

(Romans 6:15-23)

14But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;  15But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:  16Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.  17For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.  18For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:  19By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;  20Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.  21The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:  22Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

The questions about the blessed hope have everything to do with the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, who had to be the first and beginning of the resurrection, and captivity (the souls of the righteous that were held in prison NOT the fallen angels as some like to teach these spirits were. Angels can’t be redeemed and therefore there was no need for the Lord to preach to them.  After all they knew of the Lord Jesus, as the word, before the foundation of the world, I Tim. 3). This was accomplished in Matthew 27; when:

a. The temple curtain (the holy of holies) was rent in twain,

b. The earth quaked

c. the sun was made dark

d. The graves were opened

e. The bodies of the dead Saints walked the earth.

This was the proof of the resurrection of the dead. It is these things that the Lord wants us to base our hope and our assurance on.

Having an Answer Part II

By Apostle Anthony Berry

The answer concerning the deity of Christ.

The answer about How the Lord Jesus can be God almighty and the Son of God at the same time.

Many have asked this question and not received a solid answer. Just like when a child asks a parent a hard question; if the parent doesn’t know the answer, or just don’t want to answer the question, they will tell the child to go play or that babies are born under the cabbage patch.  Instead of searching the word for the answer that is truthful and then seeking the Holy Ghost to make sure that we receive the correct answer, we out of laziness or fear avoid the question or give a one verse answer.  This is the answer to the question:

Read Hebrews chapters 1, 2 and three, and then Psalms 110; there you will see that God was speaking to God, and calling God, God.   I know this sounds crazy, but if you then read Hebrews chapter 10 you then see that God prepared a body for God to be sacrificed (Hebrews chapter 10:1-9).  Then read Genesis chapter 1 then John chapter 1 and Colossians chapter 1.  This is how the Lord Jesus is able to speak of his father as being greater than him, prays to him in the garden of Gethsemane, and prays to the Father in general; Philippians chapter 2! Begin reading at the verse: “Let this same mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus.  Here we see that he was made in the image of God and thought it not robbery to be equal with God; who when he found himself in the fashion (body) of a man he humbled himself even to the death on the cross. It is this same reason and person that Satan tries to tempt in the wilderness. This was a crash course because Jesus was God in the flesh. He fulfilled all of the trials of Israel in the wilderness (40 years) in 40 days!

To be continued.
